In November 2012, three sisters met us on the beach for a photo shoot. Kathleen, Brenda & Angel had all been diagnosed with breast cancer within a year of each other. The three extraordinary women have been on this journey of survival together. Read more about their story here. One year later, they're back in Maui for a holiday. We were honored to photograph Kathleen again, this time with Greg, her partner of 25 years! Kathleen & Greg met us at Po'olenalena Beach in south Maui for their couples portrait session. They were so full of love for one another, holding each other delicately and smiley when they looked into each other's eyes. After everything they have been through, getting these photographs together was extremely important. They wanted to have images that captured their relationship so they would have something to hold onto in the future should anything happen to one of them. Not only were Kathleen and Greg inspiring, they were so much fun. They were full of fun ideas and willing to try anything. By the end of their shoot they were soaking wet, covered in sand and laughing. Thank you so much Kathleen & Greg! It was an honor to photograph you.
